Affects of blood pressure changes
Study Purpose / Goals
We are currently conducting a study (IRBMED HUM00229393) to help us learn more about how changes in blood pressure affect daily activities, mood, and independence in people with spinal cord injury (SCI).
What Do I Have to Do?
Participation includes:
In-Person Baseline Visit
- Complete surveys and a blood pressure evaluation.
- Receive instructions for the home monitoring period.
Seven-Day Home Monitoring Period
- Wear a study-provided blood pressure monitor.
- Complete surveys four times each day on your smartphone or tablet.
Who Can Participate?
Study participants must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a diagnosis of SCI
- Use a wheelchair or mobility scooter to move around
- Be willing to use your own smartphone or tablet and internet for the study
- Be able to use the blood pressure monitor and mobile app, independently or with assistance
Compensation
Compensation for participation is up to $120.
