This video addresses the importance and challenges of accessible road transportation for the quality of life of people with disabilities. This video give an introduction to IDEAL RRTC and goes over a research study on preventable hospitalizations (PPH) among adults with disabilities. The study examined potential risk and protective factors for PPH, comparing adults with disabilities to people without. Results indicate that adults with disabilities were at greater odds for PPH compared to people without disabilities. Use of preventative services such as annual wellness visit had substantial protective association against PPH.
